The Inevitable defeat of the Brain

Brain- “An organ of soft nervous tissue contained in the skull of vertebrates, functioning as the coordinating center of sensation and intellectual and nervous activity.”

Have you ever thought about the beauty of the brain or the beauty of the ability to think? Well I have. I actually think about it a lot. I think about how our brains have complete control over our every action. I marvel at the thought of thinking, and how information is processed from this center of domination and transmitted into emotions.

Isn’t it fascinating how we have the ability to think endlessly?

I think about how we think in words that no one else can hear. Its like a secret between you and your brain, and unless you decide to share your thoughts, no one else in the world has access to them.

In turn this can also be a negative. So many people are held captive in their thoughts, imprisoning themselves to hurtful, daunting self criticism. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

I was recently reading an article written by Robin Lee and she stated “We must remember to be patient, forgiving and kind to ourselves. We must stop pretending that we know what is best for us and ask our bodies to guide and help us. Our bodies are incredibly happy to communicate with us, we just need to remember to slow down and make it a priority to listen. Our bodies are amazing. They respond to everything little thing going on in our lives. To heal and stay in balance, we must remember that it is our job to nurture and support our bodies the best that we possibly can in any given moment. ” She goes on to say ” Let go of guilt. It has controlled you your entire life. When you feel guilt you know you are on the path to opening your connection to your heart and letting go of the connection to your mind. Breathe through the guilt. Pray for the strength and courage to listen and act from your truth, not your insecurities and fears.” Mrs. Lee is a very intelligent woman and i enjoy her articles

But let’s get back to this matter.

When you imprison yourself in your thoughts its usually a mixture between guilt and insecurity. Don’t allow yourself to be a victim! It’s easier said then done because we all have guilt and insecurities but we have to balance our mind, body, and soul so that our brain can function properly.

Gandhi once said” No one can imprison the mind”.

With that being said, I hope those that hold themselves as prisoners to their own mind realize they’ve had the key to unlock the cell the whole time.

You control your mind, body, and soul. So think healthy, Live healthy, and be happy. You control your brain!

I hope this message makes you think..no pun intended .
